According to all the pundits near OU, he is the leading candidate. Which if he is offered, will be hard to turn down. I hate it selfishly, but if he ever wants to be a head coach the window will start closing soon at 50 years old.

^^^^^ Good read of an old article. This story highlights one of the great recruiting jobs that Dabo has executed. Dabo had to convince Brent Venables to poll up stakes and move to a different area of the country for what was a lateral move in both money and position, and go work for a wide receiver coach with a vision. Man I could kiss Terry Don Phillips right square on the mouth!

Two men that shared a vision, and were at the right place at the right time.

the interview didn't go that well. Coach V has a singular personality, maybe his intensity scared us, who knows. I'm just glad all things turned out as they did, eventually!
