In the SEC the narrative would just be the conference is so tough that it’s hard to go undefeated. With us down this year the champ wasn’t gonna make the playoff anyway. We are it.

Like the last 6 years, most of the teams outside of the top 6 nationally are just average or below average football teams.
I agree the ACC has no alpha team this year.
However, the rest of the ACC is on par or better than the SEC. Two of the worst teams in the country are Vandy and Missouri.

I can not agree with that assessment. After the bowls are played, the ACC will have suffered a blood bath.

I agree the ACC is far better than the SEC. Using ESPN's power rating, these would be the matchups from top to bottom:
#6 Pitt would beat #1 UGA (Pitt beat Clemson by more than UGA)
#10 Clemson would beat #2 Bama (Clemson only lost to UGA by 7. UGA would beat Bama by more)
#19 NC State would beat #8 Florida (NC State is 6-2 and Florida is 4-4)
#24 Miami would beat #12 Auburn (Miami beat #6 Pitt so they would obviously beat #12 Auburn)
#30 UNC would beat #17 Ole Miss (UNC just beat Wake the #9 CFP rated team)
#36 UVA would beat #27 Tenn (UVA is 6-3 and Tenn is 4-4)
#48 Louisville would beat #28 Miss St (Louisville beat UCF, UCF beat Memphis, Memphis beat Miss St)
#55 VT would beat #31 Ark (VT beat UNC, UNC is ranked #30, Ark is ranked #31)
#57 FSU would beat #34 UK (FSU beat UNC, UNC is ranked #30, UK is ranked #34)
#59 Syracuse would beat #35 LSU (Syracuse is 5-4 and LSU is 4-4)
#62 GT would beat #81 Missouri (GT is ranked higher)
