Jim will never get the amount of revenue for ACC programs that is needed to keep up. There's no magic formula or new deal that can accomplish that. What is needed is a quality product on the field that people want to see.
Clemson is it now. No one else.
What is needed is for FSU, Miami, Virginia Tech to get their football programs out of the dumpster fire and commit to winning football.
Then .....Jim can sell his soul to acquire ND. (But NOW.....ND could care less about the ACC). And maybe maybe the ACC can survive.

There is a formula and new deal that could work, for the league's football-vested programs anyway. We just have to get 8 current programs on board to push it through. From a media value standpoint it would be a game changer.

Too bad when the ACC was working on a deal with ESPN then NBC didn't step to the table with an ACC -ND double or triple header.

because the longer the ACC schools wait, the greater the financial delta compared to the BIG and the $EC becomes. We sure as #e!! can't wait until 2035.
This is why I maintain that Miami, UNC, FSU and Clemson should be working collective, cooperatively, and collaboratively to identify a way out of the leagues inequitable GOR. Sharing what would likely be significant legal costs would be more feasible and economical for all involved.

Miami is up and coming. As for the rest, have you considered in the decade it would take for most of these programs to get their house in order, the ACC will be competitively DOA?

That’s true. But football is the cash cow for the athletic depts. they drive the bus. TV is the generator of much of the money. I don’t necessarily like it but it is what it is.

There isn't a college in Merica that could bring more money to a conference than ND, that isn't under contract. No matter what you think, they are top 10 school for sports income in most years but they also put a lot of sports on the table. But they are competitive in most sports so they are not lost.
UNC and FSU has a bigger brand than Clemson, ( these stats were from 2019), not sure they fo today as obviously Miami had a larger brand in the 80's-90's.
Honestly I think the brand is Football and Dabo? What is the Brand at Bama, Football and Saban! Not saying that is a bad thing but i guarantee people could name the coach of Bama or Clemson before they named the coach of Okla, Uga, or even USC.
That said, we need ND to join to be solid or we need them to leave to be solid. Them hanging as is hurts us and we need either 1 additional quality school to grow with ND, or they jump and we get 2 quality schools. Limbo is for jerks who hope their girlfriend might come back but he is out looking for new girl whole time.
