Since this is mainly about football and TV contracts, the Big 12 minus Texas and Oklahoma really isn't all that attractive. The main FB programs left are OSU, TT, TCU and WVA. It is possible a couple of those teams get picked up by another conference but I don't think there is a meaningful alliance partner out there for the Big 12. At best, they wind up aligning with another lower-tier conference.

I'm guess they are waiting for the finale break up to see where the remaining teams in the Big 12 will end up. Or since the SEC was more than happy to break that conference up, they are saying they can have what's left also!!!

Is this a serious question?

The B1G and Pac 12 have been tight for decades. What the B1G does, the little puppy Pac 12 will do. It makes sense to include the ACC because the ACC is a legit conference and it brings assets to the table.
The Big 8 is now a rump conference that may not even exist in the near future. There is absolutely no reason to include them.

Maybe the Alliance will have a fantasy league day where they pick and choose the remnants of the zombie Big12 and other possible G5 schools of minor interest.

ACC Cherry Pick Schools

If the ACC were going to expand; given that you aren't getting any Big 10 or Pac 12 teams - the below would be the best choice in my opinion:
Oklahoma State Kansas State Texas Christian Central Florida(UCF - is not a former Big 12 team; but since we cherry-picking for FB, hey).

Athletically, OK State, KSU and TCU aren't worth a dime in Chinese money.
I don't know enough about UCF to comment.

Oklahoma State is much better than think....
Oklahoma State has 52 NCAA team national titles, which ranks fourth in most NCAA team national championships. These national titles have come in wrestling (34), golf (11), basketball (2), baseball (1), and cross country (4).

I would look at adding Texas Tech and Baylor. That gives us Texas teams. I heard Texas Tech is huge and I remember years ago Baylor wasn't a bad football program

The remaining Big 12 schools look equal or better than most of the ACC schools minus Clemson

They better get them before the SEC fully locks up the recruiting hot bed of Texas and all those TV viewers. Absolutely stupid for the alliance especially not to include the state of Texas in its plans.

The SEC doesn't need any more Texas teams

They already have the Big 3: UT, A&M and OU. Those are the only Texas athletic programs HS recruits here (in Texas) give a care about.
When A&M joined the SEC, the floodgates opened to the SEC like never before. I'm not saying Alabama and LSU didn't have success here, but it went to another level. Adding OU & UT will place the state in lockdown to the SEC (I exaggerate somewhat for effect).

I would guess that the remaining viable B12 teams will be brought into the ACC, Big 10, or PAC 12. Once the alliance is announced formally, I would not be surprised to see the SEC go after Oklahoma State.

I think the SEC will try to pick up a couple more teams. Probably from the soon to be defunct B12.
The SEC will then split into two conferences in order to try to even out the voting power of what was the P5 conferences. They will say that the non-P5 conferences deserve a voting say in the CFB playoff. You will then have the Alliance vs the 2 SEC conferences teamed with the non-P5 schools.
This splits the votes between the Alliance and the SEC schools.

Finebaum spoke a good while about this the other day. Said he is being told the SEC will do away with the divisions.

Because part of the Allance’s desire is to stabilize things and that no one else “jump ship”. The Big12 cannot be expected to abide by such a request.

According to an article posted in another thread the B12 sided with the SEC in formulating the 12 team playoff so the alliance evidently felt they wouldn't be a viable partner in limiting SEC influence. Seems reasonable but other considerations could also be in play.
