A trend that concerns me: conference record since 2006

Jun 2, 2014, 8:19 AM

2006 24-6
2007 18-12
2008 11-18-1
2009 19-11
2010 18-12
2011 17-13
2012 16-14
2013 18-12
2014 15-14

Leggett has had 10 double-digit loss seasons in conference play. Seven have occurred since 2007.

If the decision is made to part company with Leggett....

The University ABSOLUTELY must do something about the baseball scholarship disparity.

Clemson offers one third of a scholarship while schools like UNC, Vandy and $CU are offering the same players full scholarships (largely through endowments).

You can't handicap a new coach with this level of inequity.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

This ain't Wilhelm's ACC anymore where baseball was just an afterthought at most campuses not located in Pickens County. Clemson fans need to come to grips with the reality that Clemson just isn't going to dominate the ACC as we once did.

As has been pointed out on Tnet before, other programs have pumped a ton of money into their baseball programs in the last decade and a half. I still think Clemson's stadium, field and facilities are as good as any in the nation, but more ACC teams have excellent facilities now as well and recruiting is being affected. JMO, Clemson hasn't really had a stellar class in a good while.

Watching usuck pump millions into new facilities and the success its purchased has been a particular thorn for Clemson fans

Isn't this also the year that Tim Corbin left as assistant coach?

His first year at Vandy was 2003, while a hot commodity

Vandy has made the CWS once in 11 years under his coaching.
