(Total Population) - (Minorities and Women) =

I watched the Finance Sub-Committee questioning Janet Yellen and Jerome Powell a few days ago. I heard several of the politicians ask what Yellen and Powell were going to do for "Minorites and Women" several times. Do you know what (Total Population) - (Minorities and Women) = ?

30% of population are non Hispanic white males based on census data. So then the other 70% would be minorities and women right.

Could you imagine if those politicians would have asked Yellen and Powell, "What are y'all doing for everybody but white males" That would sound pretty racist wouldn't it? Also, there are many white males who aren't getting by (but screw them?). Also, there are a lot of minorities and women who are doing far better than my white male butt.

The census says the population is about 78% white. Congress is 78% white. About 25% of congress is female, but we can't elect people who don't run: women do about the same as men in elections.
At the state and local level, the numbers track the population pretty well.

I looked for an official explanation with a list of sub-topics and couldn't find it. Somebody else above included "food" in their list of things that are included in the "Lounge," and there is another board with food in the name.
He decided to get personal. Your explanation merely had a slight air of condescendence. Further, I saw many posts in the Lounge that didn't fit in your list or his. Y'all should take y'all's Lounge Police role to those posts too.
