A BIRTHDAY WITH THE GOOD AND BAD...

The bad thing about my 66th birthday today is the number, irreversible, of course, but worth a little positive reflection.
The fact is I can boast of having lived this long, and now can draw that good, ole Social Security without penalties against earnings. That requires even greater hoping that I'll live long enough to reap the rewards.
The latter statement may or may not come to fruition due to two factors: the generosity of the Almighty...and the retention of enough mental faculties to fend off the TigerNet Derailers, who make sport of us "older" Tigers. Naturally, the latter chore dictates even more deviousness abetted with certain duplicity, for, no doubt, the Derailers will soon launch ageist attacks about Senior Citizens' Bingo Nights...and Metamucil.
Regardless, I say, "Come on...come on, you diabolical disseminators of denunciation and defamation. This older Tiger is ready for you....I'm going to sic ole ClemsonTiger1988 on all of you...while I relax over my usual JD on the rocks!"
That's what I call using my age to an advantage...something most of you will have to wait a while to enjoy! lol

Happy Birthday! You probably remember "Gator Farr" who presided over the Gamecock's funeral at the Thursday pep rally in the amphitheater. Speaking of "oldtimers" I think "Gator" (nick-named because he was from Florida) was in his 80s at the time and that was his last appearance. I was on the staff at WSBF and I believe the funeral was recorded that year.

Thanks for standing up for us 'veteran' Tigers. Many of us have supported ($$$$) the Tigers for many years. I am sure I have attended more than 300 games and I have never lived within 3 hours of Clemson since graduation.

happy birthday from a fellow 66er.will gain another year in dec.consider it a privilege to have lived as long as we have and to have grown up when we did.our years at CU were a lot like animal house.i told my son that I knew every character in that movie.what a great time and place to have been in college.i actually feel sorry for the youngsters,because they've really missed so much,but it's hard to explain to others who weren't there at nick's,dan's,bolton's,lester's Tiger den,and on and on.............
