@davidhood Jackson Carman

Probably jumping the gun, but any feedback on his visit would be awesome. Thanks as always.

T Law also wants to know if he can expect Mays and Jack to bookend around him the next 3-4 years.

Anything could happen but I would not get my hopes up as prior to the visit we were on the outside looking in. Reports are we went all out on the visit and Prez Clements was involved. As usual we are swinging for the fences but time will tell.

Yea. Just hoping for Mays or Carman at this point. Losing Hyatt will be a big blow and. Not sure Pollard/Anchrum (although very good players) can play at his level.

I agree. If we miss on them, maybe Noah Dehond or...

Vinson will be ready?

Lol Anchrum and Pollard are both beasts. I'm not sure anyone can play at Hyatt's level, but if you don't believe in those two then you haven't been paying attention

They're quality guys...but I would prefer Pollard stay at right tackle - he really doesn't have the feet for the left side - and honestly I think Anchrum might make a really good pulling guard because he's so athletic. Anchrum might make for a "functional" starting left tackle, but it'd be a downgrade from Hyatt for sure if he were to start there.

Be it Mays or Carman, I'd really like one of those uber-blue-chip, NFL-type left tackles protecting Trevor Lawrence's blind side in future years.

Is Hyatt definitely declaring for the draft?

Top 15 projected you have to assume yes.

You sure? Walter Football has him in the 3rd-5th round range

Dec 10, 2017, 5:01 PM

Projected Round (2018): 3-5.
12/9/17: Hyatt has been disappointing in 2017, getting pushed around regularly. Even undersized defensive ends have had success winning with power against Hyatt. He clearly needs to get stronger for the NFL. Hyatt also has had problems with speed rushers, including the edge rushers from Miami in the ACC Championship.

Some team sources say they have graded Hyatt as a fourth-rounder for the 2018 NFL Draft. If he continues to struggle, they will drop the grade to Round 5. That being said, they noted the huge demand for tackles could cause a team to reach on Hyatt higher than where he belongs. Returning for his senior year to get stronger could end up helping his draft grade.

The highest I've seen any site projecting him is 2nd round.
