There will be 4 extra teams that doesn't deserve a shot at the title. Plus its too many games too be playing though I love college football.

With 8 at least you could have more conference champions that can have a shot because they're the championship representation of their conference. Its a battle of champions if you will.....to get 1 undisputed champ.

Stop catering and caudeling to these non deserving SEC teams and other non deserving teams just to make a buck.

Good points. I wonder if the regular season will have to be shortened to allow for all the extra playoff games.

As far as Clemson is concerned..
It is basically 8…

We’ll get a first round bye…

2nd round starts with 8 teams….
Twelve is probably too many - but really the difference between 8 and 12 is irrelevant to Clemson, Bama, and Ohio State…

I could see 8 teams 5 champions and then it would be Uga, Uf, auburn, Lsu and Texas Am every year.

The biggest flaw of the playoff is not limiting the number

of teams from any one conference! With the 4 team playoff, it should be conference champs only, with an 8 team format, no more than two from one conference, and with this 12 proposal, absolutely no more than three from a conference! If you aren't in the top three of your conference, you don't deserve to be in a playoff! And loading up the 12 team playoff with 4 or 5 SEC teams defeats the whole purpose of expanding, which is to get a broader representation from around the country in the playoff.
