I'd never advise my kids to get married that early, but 22 years later, it's worked out so far. Better to be lucky than good. Out of all my friends who got married around the same time, I think we are roughly 2 or 3 out of 6 for it sticking.

We were both 23. I was in my first year of med school and she had just graduated from Clemson’s nursing school. Starting dating when we were 17. At just 34 we’ve now been together for over half our lives.

Lots of my aunts and uncles were getting divorced during my formative years. It was like a Boomer right of passage and it made me take marriage really seriously.
My parents got married when my dad was 21 and my mom was 20, which is insane to me.
