Dabo Swinney had to fight for him, but Grady Jarrett stands out as a favorite recruit

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney has a track record of developing under-the-radar football players into stars, but he has one that is his all-time favorite.

Another great story by Dabo talking about a former player, but the back story and how Jarrett was recruited is what makes Dabo a little different. Fortunate to have him on many fronts! Best gift from CTB ever!

I remember that Grady played most of a full season with a torn labrum in his arm, and he never complained, or he never used it as an excuse when he was interviewed by the media. Grady Jarrett was a great addition to our Tiger D through out his entire college career, and he is a great alumni Tiger Fan. Grady is Great!!!

Ha ha ha. He had a "beast day" at USC, er uh, Carolina, er uh, U of California, er uh, ... who the hell are they? Anyway, those silly Chickens told him "No". What a buncha #########.

One of my favs. I used to focus on him from the stands in DV, and it #### near wore me out just watching. One of my favs.

Don't be a Dabo doubter....it'll only make you look more stupid down the line.

Who would be a Dabo doubter at this point and time? Without Dabo, Clemson would be like Georgia and thinking about that last national title back in 1981, or 1980 for Georgia. The man has proven himself over and over. Dabo is a beast.

I'll never forget Grady knifing through Oklahoma's O-line and tackling Perine in the backfield as soon as he got the handoff back in 2014, maybe the first or second play from scrimmage. Perine was a huge back, too-it was like he hit a brick wall. I swear Grady looked like he was maybe 6 inches off the ground flying like superman!!!

Grady Is the WHOLE COMPLETE PACKAGE! That's a period, end of sentence, end of discussion comment. Any coach would love to have a locker room full of that kind of man, but they are hard to find, and so many coaches can't find them, because they only go by some "measurables" that don't take all that Grady, and others like him, bring to the table. Dabo is the guy who sees beyond where the other coaches stop looking, and he finds those valuable "pearls" that make the special program even more special. The great thing, even more important than the skill, is the guys Dabo wants will excel at no matter what they try. They have that "It Factor". Employers want "Those Guys" on their team and members of their organization, because they exude success. They are charismatic, and they bring others along with them. Thaose are the guys I want on my team.
