The lack of power hitting on this team will bite us down the road.

15 players from BCS conferences had 10 or more home tuns at the end of last regular season. There isn't power hitting in college baseball anymore with the BBCOR bats.

Jack prefers small ball;you know hit and run, advance the runner with one out and hope the next guys gets a double. Problem is getting the first runner on with no outs.

Meanwhile, USC is annihilating opponents with the long ball. They don't seem to have power issues, and they're using the same bats we are. Don't blame the bats. We can't hit for power. And until that changes, the coots will continue to own us.
Small ball is for little league.

Believe usuck uses Rawlings bat. Friend of mine who coaches Legion ball and operates sporting goods business pointed out during our visit to a Clemson scrimmage that the Tigers were using an older inferior bat, and that the Rawlings was much better.

3 years ago Rawlings was the better product, Easton has passed them by this year.

got to find something to complain about. Who cares about home runs when you have good pitching and players that get on base????

We are using inferior bats. And small ball can work all the time. It's not spotty like waiting for a bomb. USC won't keep that long ball performance up for long and it's going to hurt them later in the season.

Home runs are all that matter.
Seriously though, did you not ever play baseball? Even 4 year old T-ball as a kid? Cause this post is crazy stupid.

It's tough to get one out of DKS. I'll note that no visiting team has hit a home run so far either.

You could move home plate closer to the fence again.

That is the present state of college baseball, but we can still win with small ball, good pitching and defense.
