385 Clemson students studying abroad called back

Does anyone else kinda think this is a bad idea? It might be more risky for them to go to an airport and get out in some places than stay where they are. What about in countries with less cases than the USA?

I can understand getting the 99 out of Italy. But even then they will cause issues. It says that they will go through a “screening process”. So far the US has not done a great job testing so I don’t exactly trust the screening process. I feel like this could cause some issues in the next few weeks when all these students return.

The students will eventually have to go to an airport to return to the US. It's probably safer now than at the end of their study abroad term based on the virus spreading and no vaccine yet.

I could be wrong, but I think they are just not going to get sick or as sick. I think they can be a carrier though. Who knows...

I think it's both fewer cases and much less severe cases***

IMO, there definitely has to be some quarantine and testing to protect the rest of the university students and local population.

Yeah...depending on where they are returning from I would think a quarantine would not be unreasonable.

We can setup a temporary containment camp...

I have a spray can of Lysol from 2018 in my office that has the same thing written on it.
