I prefer Cade too for his quicker release and accuracy. But they didn't put Allar there based purely on his size. He's got a stronger arm than Cade and his mobility in the pocket is top notch. He had more than a thousand more yards this year and a few more TDs. I'm skeptical of his competition in Ohio, especially compared to Cade, but it's not like Allar is chopped liver who only got the nod because he's 6'5".

You said this exactly:
“247 sports ranks Allar ahead of Cade Just on size alone...”
That’s not simply saying he’s not better than Cade. You’re saying he’s only ranked high because of his size and not talent, which isn’t true as the poster you responded to pointed out.

But was still on the bench a lot in the second half because they flat blew everyone out! He’s very efficient.
His stats could’ve been significantly better the same way Trevor Lawrence could’ve had better stats at Clemson.

Allar has a cannon. Cade is faster and more accurate. I'll take accuracy over arm strength any day.

DJ has a “cannon” ... so, draw your own conclusions.

Velocity and arm strength are important, but they’re not everything.
Someone earlier referenced Joe Montana ... he had neither velocity nor arm strength. But he knew what to do with the ball and when to do it.

CK6 has accuracy, mobility and field vision in spades. I'll take that over the cannon of an arm. DJU can throw the ball eighty yards - how many times were he and the offense efficient enough to take a deep shot and let us see it? Not as much as we thought when he was coming out of HS or gearing up to start the season. I just want the best guy to get our offense firing in both phases. I like running the ball but it is so much more exciting to have chunk plays through the air and push those safeties back.
I hope that can be DJU and give Cade time to bulk up for the big shots he is going to take.

As we've found out, size and arm strength aren't everthing.

If 2021 taught us anything, it taught us that. Size and strength are good but they are most DEFINITELY not enough. Perhaps the most important attribute for a QB is between his ears.

Just watching both at the AA game, Cade appears to have more awareness and reacts quicker. He also looked off defenders and went through progressions better. Cade also showed that he can put the ball in the right spot. Most Qbs don't do well in all star games. Cade did.

Speaking of height...

6'6"-6'7" is on the precipice of being too tall for what scouts look for in an ideal QB. Many players have failed at 6'6" and above at the NFL level; something about the trajectory, supposedly.

development, and leave the other guys to themselves and their schools. Whether he is ranked 1, 2, 3, or wherever out of high school is going to net us exactly zero additional points at Clemson.

Who cares? I do not.
Look at the rankings for DJ couple years ago.
Until we get reports on Cade from practice and until we get to the spring game, the rest of the discussion about Cade and DJ is pointless nonsense. Move along ladies.
Oh by the way, unless we play that Penn State commit in the college football playoff a few years from now, I don’t care how good he is.
