Be prepared for whichever team is lucky enough to win the 2021 College Football National Championship to forever have an asterisk by their win. The winner may not be the best. The “but they didn’t have to play 11 games” or “they didn’t play [INSERT TEAM]” debate will be discussed for years after. I hate it for the juniors and seniors of these teams that will be affected by this year’s games. But at least they are getting an opportunity to play.

Assuming there is a completed season and a CFP, I think the champion will be just as valid as other years. Will there be controversy in choosing the 4 teams? Of course, but there always is.
Assume the 4 teams in the CFP are Clemson, Bama, Ohio State and Oklahoma - whoever wins both the semifinal and championship game would be a deserving champion. And the trophy in the trophy case will be as shiny and look as sweet as all the others.

Well the SEC can't compete in the CFP unless it is only SEC teams playing...
