2016 Coke cans

Aug 2, 2019, 3:31 PM

So after reading some of you had your coke cans leak out i decided i needed to go check on mine that are up in my man cave. I had slid them under a pice of furniture along with other 2016 championship items. Well unfortunately I fell victim to the same issue. Leaked all over the carpet and some prints. Very disappointed. Talk about cheap.

Yep, me too. My wife and artistic daughter decided to cut the logos off the cans and create a table-top montage with them. Don't worry - we kept some empty cans in the Man Cave too. With this next round, I think I'll tap a small hole in the bottom to get the drink out and leave the cans appearing original.

Did you read what I had to say yesterday about the best way to do that. I used a sewing needle at the lowest point at the bottom of the dimple, which will be close to the edge of the can, but if you put the small needle hole at an angle from inside the dimple toward the outside edge, Take it outside and shake it up pretty well on a hot day, leave outside for a couple of days or until liquid has emptied out and dried. Melt white candle wax over hole and thumb the excess wax off, and you can barely see the pin hole left by the needle when done....

Heads up, you might want to drill a small hole in the bottom***

There's something in these hills.

And it’ll drain a lot faster if you drill a really small hole in the top of the can too. Has to do with science or something like that.

The 80's cans did that to me years ago and I swore off of that type stuff.

My ‘81 Orange soda Clemson can finally gave out this year. I just popped the top, poured out, washed out and the empty can sits on my office desk. Almost 40 yrs is not too shabby.
