CU defensive coordinators......Steele at Auburn and now Koenning at Troy. There's definitely "bad blood" between Dabo and Koenning, will be interesting to see the comments, if any, between the two this week.

Both were on Bowden's staff and Vic got passed over for the Interim slot for Dabo. Vic was one of only 2 coaches that Dabo did not retain when he became HC. Steele, I believe, was hired as the new DC.

Now I remember , there was talk that Koenning expected to get a shot at the job , too .
But wouldn't Koenning's beef then be directed at TB , since he asked TDP to promote Dabo to interim ?
Maybe Dabo let him go because he saw philosophical differences in what he and Koenning viewed as defensive strategies and executions ?
Just spitballing .
