First, when asked about DJ just making the easy lay up passes( same thing announcers have said over and over) to get better, Dabo kind of deflected it a little and talked about other player miscues. Makes me think DJ is a little fragile and Dabo is just not going to be as critical about DJ as other players.
Second, when talking about the last TD, Dabo says he was thinking about how the D was playing them, and that DJ needed to keep it on the ground. Just sounds like Dabo is a little more involved in the offensive play calling tan I would have thought.

So you want Dabo to sit there and trash his QB. BTW the press and the announcers got the layup analogy from Dabo!
I would assume that Dabo understands that the press is just trying to set him up and trying to get him to trip up so they can get a one liner and take something out of context.
As far as the quote at the end of the game. Dabo was looking at the Big picture the entire game and running though all sanctions. You know like a Hall of Fame Coach should do. Good grief! If you can’t tell how tuff DJ is then it’s on you. As they say Haters gonna Hate… Go Tigers!!!!

anything Dabo said was bad. All I was saying is Dabo will point at mistakes and call names on his receivers and others quicker than he does DJ and that maybe DJ is in a delicate state mentally. I gave the kid props last night for a really gutsy performance.

Actually I don't see Dabo being critical at all. Rather, IMO, he is beginning to look more like a gum chewing cheerleader on the sideline.
How about that for criticism?

Leftie,
I have seen several of your posts and you give honest evaluations and real opinions unlike 99% of those who post on here. For that I say thank you. I myself have not been pleased with the coaching staff's approach to addressing the issues of this team, and threw in the towel last week after Dabo said that abortion of a game against FSU was in his top 5 wins. Clearly just a cheerleader coaching fragile players mainly DJ who is still awful.

People blame nil and I think that has nothing to do with it.

I think when he threw that pick six against ga, I think he got to be a bit of a head problem. And I think you may be right. Dabo knows he’s basically our only option right now and doesn’t want to pile on. Now with all the injuries and ol play even if it gets righted we are about as good as we are going to get. I don’t criticize much but I do think time for our ol coach to retire and he’s been part of great things so do it classy but we need to hire an ol coach from outside
