We are severely lacking at DB, WR, and OL. Our coordinators are in over their heads. We finally have the right QB but that decision was made entirely too late this year.
Dabo needs to correct a lot of serious faults quickly if we want to be a playoff contender next year. Otherwise we should have a cakewalk to another ACC title game and that's about it, unless FSU continues their improvement.

Correction: After seeing us play this season, we don't have any cakewalks anymore. We don't blow anybody away anymore. Furman stayed with us much of the game. Coaching, coaching, or lack thereof.

What's bad is that I think those 2011-14 teams would beat the brakes off this 2022 team or have similar outcomes like last night.

We would easily beat SCU if we were to play them again with Cade at QB. SCU almost beat ND, and since we would beat SCU easily, that means we would beat ND too. We would have those wins.

If Cade had started the first game of the season and remained the starter throughout the season, his development would be further along than it is now but we would've lost 4-5 games in the process. Is that a season you would be okay with?

We had quality wins this year.
At FSU looks really good about now.
At Wake was good.
NCSU win with their top QB was good.
UNC win was good.
I think the bigger problem was bad losses.
But if SCAR would have been a win, it wouldn’t have been ‘quality’ by your standards.
Notre Dame probably wouldn’t have qualified either.
Get a little perspective…you can be displeased by the losses as we all are in our own way without dismissing the good. If wins over Bama and Ohio St are the only wins that qualify as quality, that’s pretty narrow.
