He was rolled out 5 yards behind the LOS and they defended had him dead to rights at the side line. Take a lap.

No, there was a clear opening. Uiagalelei just isn't that fast, so he probably wouldn't have made it. The space was there though.

That play only made sense if he was supposed to run, instead of throwing the ball 30 yards downfield across his body.

I dont agree with the playcall but he did the right thing. He didnt force it into traffic and he didnt take the sack. He did exactly what he was supposed to do given the result, throw it away and dont give them a chance at a turnover.

I do agree with that but coaches shouldn't put players in no win situations and thats clearly what that was for DJ.
