They lose.
This game is not contingent on them, it is based solely on our Offense and Defense.

He'd probably catch less flack if he did . I think Duke is a decent team , certainly a better team than Louisville or Sackerlina ... but they're outgunned this weekend and that's putting it as humbly as possible .

The football program at Duke...have a nephew there, in fact. Their problem is, the top eleven they have on either side of the ball can't stay with the 33 the Tigers have on either side. Talent is great, until you're too tired to execute...that's why it's a 4-quarter game (or until halftime, if you're a Scok)

Y’all make me really laugh sometimes. Why would he not say that. I just hope our team certainly don’t take this game as lightly as our fans are.
I remember everyone saying, media included, that the acc championship game with fsu and Winston was going to be a beat down and Duke put a real scare in them.
Everyone said we were going to beat BC 48-3. That didn’t happen. Never overlook any team. We’re still a growing team and making mistakes.

There are things you can say and things you shouldn't say. Saying "we can win" is laughable, I don't think they can. When your rush defense is ranked 108th. When your 3rd down defense is ranked 53rd going up against the 6th ranked defense on 3rd down, I can see how he might think that way. Forgot to mention Clemson is ranked #2 in total defense and Duke is ranked 70th, AND playing at home. Soooooo, what he should have said is.....we have a huge challenge and they are going to get our best shot. That would have gone over better I think.

Yeah, I know what you’re saying but what leader would tell his team that. He’ll leave that to the coach and I feel he probably really does think they can win. He can’t speak for their defense. I respect the fact he said it. Opinions right!!!!

If a team thinks they will lose, a loss is guaranteed.
Dis you ever play a game or have a contest where your opponent let you win? Did you get mad even though you won? When I was a kid I would play checkers with my Dad. He always beat me but sometimes he let me win. That made me mad because I wanted to win on my own merits.
