For the record, Tech has no shot at all.
If he goes to Aggieland, A&M will have an insane number of talented players joining them next year. I think they have an edge because there is no legit competition for him to start.

This kid might not be the brightest bulb. He committed to Ohio State behind CJ Stroud, who was the #2 QB in 2020 behind DJ (fail). He left highschool early skipping his senior year to compete with CJ Stroud, and supposedly cash in NIL. Now he's peacing out after figuring out he isn't going to beat CJ out. Good luck to him i guess. Could be the next Joe Burrow. Who knows.

handed ONE MILLION DOLLARS before the age of 18, or shortly after turning 18, would have then wanted to get up early for football practice, then go to class, and study.
Let's face it, the purpose of college is to get a higher education, because in most cases, that will increase your future earning power. It other words, it's all about the money for most kids in the real world.
Now, if you already have ONE MILLION DOLLARS in hand, you will be seduced (more than likely) as an 18 year old into thinking that this is enough money to last you FOREVER! In today's material society, especially after Uncle Sam gets his huge chunk, what you have left probably doesn't really even last five years.
So, I hope Ewers and the few others who have signed really big dollar NIL deals realize that their "fortune" better be invested wisely, and that they better keep trying to make more, because there a a lot of years left to go in a normal life when you are 18.

He may get the last laugh. Skipped his last year of high school and collected a million bucks. Now he pretty much has his choice of schools as a redshirt freshman.
