Yes. Standard practice there but it definitely changes the environment. My 'Ville buddy said it can get pretty ugly there and from what I've seen/heard they were putting their best foot forward to pay us back for the hospitality last year. As someone who grew up going to Syracuse games don't do it. Bad idea.

It sounds great to those that aren't used to having alcohol sold at their stadiums. But I REALLLLYYYYYY wish UofL would stop selling alcohol at the stadium. I've seen more than my share of Cardinal on Cardinal fights in the stands. Usually one or both drunker than a skunk. What I hate most about it are the fans CONSTANTLY getting up to go to the concessions (blocking your view of the game). They come back double fisted (beer in each hand)and you have to stand up again.....usually at the most inopportune time as a play develops. They scarf down their two beers each and get back up to buy two more beers and make a pee stop in the bathrooms. Meanwhile their seats are easily seen vacant while they are gone because all of our seats are bucket style seats.

For the game against you guys Thursday night, someone returning with beer in the row above me apparently didn't have one of their cups level and spilled some beer on top of my head. He was very apologetic and offered to buy me a beer but I don't drink. It's just a big mess. Keeps fans out of their seats, causes fights and I see beer spillage all the time and I knew it was just a matter of time before "I got mine". Prayed after the game I didn't get pulled over and try to explain to the cop why I reeked of beer. Luckily that didn't happen LOL. Many also use the beer-in-hand crutch to socialize under the stands or up on the party deck which again shows more empty seats that gives off the impression that the game isn't sold out when it is in fact sold out and a huge demand for more seats.
