Question for our recruiting experts. It appears we have

lately made some offers to some really good players, but I almost feel like we got in too late for them. What I would like to hear is news about the highly sought after recruits that we have been in the running with for awhile (thinking about the lineman in NC).
Any inside info? Or, are all of them still a toss up.? Would love to hear that we that two or three pocket commitments.
Thanks

I don't know anything about recruiting. But, I kept hearing at running back it was White or nobody. And now we are out offering running backs all over the place. Were we that confident we would get White? If so, that didn't work out too well.

With such limited numbers to sign this year and with getting Etienne last year RB was not a high priority. From what I hear we told Zeus White that we would not offer another RB until he made his decision. I don't think the coaches are overly worried if we don't sign a RB this year.

Enlighten, all I've seen is the 2 Tony promised an offer to if White didn't commit ,and now, Martin has picked up an offer.
I do wonder what peaked his interest ? Martin has been wanting a Clemson offer for a couple of weeks now. He was at IMG last season with Mike Jones. Maybe Jones has been recruiting him instead of Pledger.
Are there any that I might have missed ?

Crouch is the RB we have been looking for. Would be perfect if we landed him

Where? We got the top QB we wanted in Trevor Lawrence. Definitely got the top DE we wanted in Xavier Thomas. Hard to get better than the #1 and #3 prospects in the country,
Kyler McMichael was another elite prospect, probably at DB. He could write his ticket almost anywhere in America.
We got probably our #3 or #4 WR target in Derion Kendrick; he was high enough we offered outright and that takes some doing at wide receiver, here at Wide Receiver U. We get Justny Ross, that's our #1 overall target at WR, and we're probably favored to get him.
The other guys we offered - Josh Belk, Mike Jones Jr., Justin Mascoll, Bradon Galloway, Darnell Jefferies, BT Potter - were all guys we had at a minimum of Top-5 on our boards, high enough up we had to offer and accept those commitments despite the fact that we're looking at an absolute max of 15 scholies. They were all "takes", in the staff's view.
We missed out on some RB targets by going after Zamir White, but if the staff is correct it's kind of a push anyhow because in their view, there was Zamir White, and then a whole lot of separation between what looks like a kinda middlin' bunch of backs this year.
We missed out on Quindavious Monday but nobody's quite sure why. All indicators were we his favorite until he abruptly closed it down and committed to Auburn. There were some Texas guys we had ahead of him but they went away and we certainly weren't on Monday "late".
We really want Carman and Salyer and we could well miss on both but we've been on those guys forever, and we were certainly on them early.
Who'd we get on too late other than at RB?

2018 recruits haven't played their senior HS season yet. Lots of plays between now and signing date. Some will have rising stock and others will fall. Some of our best came late. Some grow from no star to many stars as seniors. Some after they walk on.

We're the national champs, we can offer anyone at anytime and it's not too late.
