Question about RPO and Tightends.

Sep 27, 2021, 9:10 PM

It looks like the RPO takes to long. Which isn’t good for our oline. Also, DJ needs to make an easier decision. I know it’s been a big part of our offense. But shouldn’t we need to run this a lot less to take the pressure off the o-line and DJ?

These two tightend sets seem to allow the defense to further stack the box. Which isn’t good for the oline. Wouldn’t it be better to go 5 wide? We haven’t done that much.

Finally, would love to see us call a play and run it. Enough staring over at the sidelines.

Thoughts?

DJ is not processing information quickly enough in the game. I think they are simplifying plays to try to help him but it's not working. . They also need to do away with RPOs until his mental state changes. Let the oline fire off the line on run only plays. If DJ struggles, take him out. Keeping him in only reinforces bad play and kills the morale of the receiving corp. I think our backup QBs will be able to lead the offense if need be.
