Question about Louisville scandal

Sep 27, 2017, 8:15 PM

If the NCAA does take an axe to Louisville, what are the ramifications for the ACC and Clemson? I would think the conference may end up on a shaky leg and it might be time for the board to reevaluate leaving for the SEC.

ACC teams would have to cheat a whole lot

for a number of years to come close to approaching the shady antics of the SEC.

I don't want Clemson to ever join that filthy conference. The ACC is a much better fit for us.

I agree. Look at the history of the SEC. Vanderbilt is the only school that has not had numerous NCAA infractions. Often times, their were more than one SEC team on probation at the same time. They are the most corrupt conference in the nation but the NCAA only gives them slaps on the wrist.

It's not about morals

It's about the stability of the conference should this happen to. We are trying to get to 16 and create a new football championship deal.

This ain't just a Louisville scandal

Already UL and UM from the ACC, USuC, Auby and Bammer in the SEC, OSU from the B12 and AZ from the P12, and it's just beginning. The entire landscape of college athletics will be changed by this.

If the NCAA survives as an organization it will be granted far greater powers of investigation and enforcement, could fold altogether and be replaced by something else.

Look for football camps like the Nike ones to be reigned in as AAU hoops will be. Naive to think these sportswear companies aren't doing the same things in football
