Question about laptops on sideline

Nov 5, 2017, 9:08 AM

Does the team not use iPads on the sideline? For looking at plays in the playbook or pictures from the guys upstairs? If so how is this allowed and not a laptop? I was almost certain during the Louisville game bobby Petrino was calling plays from a tablet instead of a laminated play sheet.

What exactly is the reasoning for not allowing laptops on the sideline?

No electronics are allowed to review plays or game plans.

Petrino had a cardboard play card.

There's something in these hills.

That worked since word "tablet" was used in Bible, i believe.
