Not a fan of H. Helms/ Wiles/ W. Taylor being one catalyst away from being the back up QB next year. We are one injury or Cade beating out DJ in the Spring (which likely leads DJU to transfer) away from having a serious problem at the QB position. I'd think we could find somebody in the portal who would be confident enough to think that they could beat out DJ and a True Freshman (5 star or not).

I'm pretty certain Dabo has thought of this and has a plan for it.
If he hasn't, then there's a problem in-house.

I think they plan to take two in '23. If they take a portal guy, it would be a veteran who would have one chance to beat out DJ, but it's not going to be a guy with tons of eligibility because they have big plans for Klubnik and the 23 class at QB.

Also, I like the potential of Helms and Wiles. I think the longer they are in the system, they better they will be. Both were winners on the high school level and both had FBS offers and chose to walk on at Clemson.
