QB evaluation

About a month ago I commented on Justin Herbert versus Trevor Lawrence, Kyler Murray, Tua and Watson. Carriers are far from over but I stand firm on Justin Herbert. This kid has it all! I was called a coot for saying Herbert is the best young QB talent in the NFL. With the exception of Tom Brady (goat), it’s all about the system you are in that complements your talent and the quality players around you. DJ is in a system that doesn’t complement what he is good at, respectfully. Klubnik (sp) is a better fit for what we have done at Clemson in the past. If Klubnik stays healthy and upright, he will dramatically improve our offense NEXT Year.

And he was for 2021, but how did that turn out. Same for Rattler in 2021; same or worse ending..

Wrong system for DJ..a big slow statue pocket passer who really needs a good Oline so he can have time to operate effectively. Nuff said.

Even when DJ had time he wasn't good at reading coverage and he stared down his receiver.
His 103rd QB rating reflects that DJ at this point is one of the biggest QB busts in recent memory .

I think DJ's PAA (number of points contributed by a QB, accounting for QBR and how much he plays, above the level of an average QB) is hilarious.
The top QB is +103.02. DJ is -28.7. Thats how you barely win half your games with a #3 ranked scoring defense.

which DJ will you get? which is usually a confidence issue. Started getting better when Bo emerged as a constant reliable target and the rush game became a threat again. Hopefully Clemson can build on that.

Exactly what system is good for DJ ? He needs to lose a lot of weight in the off season.

DJ will NOT be improved by next fall unless he seeks outside quarterback work as both Lawrence and Watson did during the offseason with a recognized national QB guru.
