If the ball were still in the offensive player's possession when any part of it passes over or touches the pylon, it would be a TD.

So the interpretation is the same when it has been fumbled: if any part of it passes over the pylon, it should be a Touchback.

To overrule the field official, you have to say the entire ball went out of bounds before reaching the pylon. The pylon cam refuted that pretty clearly.

and from the video it looked like it went directly over the pylon, that's why the review was relatively quick

Over the pylon is the endzone ;hence, in this case, since the ball carrier had lost possession, it was a touchback

It's considered a touchdown if a player holds the ball over it, so it has to be in play if it's fumbled over it. That pylon camera view to me clearly showed the ball going over it. They scored soon after we couldn't do anything anyway, so it was a wash.

It was close, but since it was called a touch back, it was too close to overturn. Personally I think it went over the pylon, so it was the correct call.

Touch the pylon is a TD. If any part of the ball crosses over the pylon it's in the end zone. The pylon exists 100% inside the end zone.
