Good morning everybody. How was your weekend?

Friday night, stayed in ate left overs, and relaxed.
Saturday up and about early to do some smoking. First off, some cheese. It came out well but needed more time in the smoke. Since the cooker was in the sunlight it was starting to get too warm. Next up, some bologna. This also needed more time in the smoke but it was getting to be supper time.
Sunday, massive yard work day. pulled up a few plants, all but cut down a sick apple tree, cleaned that mess up, planted some blackberries, and a few other things got cleaned up. Still have tons to do with the holly bushed looming.

FANTASTIC! I won on a major scratch off lottery ticket!

Stopped for gas and decided to give it a try. Asked the clerk what seemed to be winning more than others but couldn’t keep my eye off of this one type of ticket – a $10 Gold Rush. Decided to just go that route – always liked “gold mining”. Even had a 3” dredge and made some rounds in SC, NC, GA, AL… finding a little - And I mean a little . ?? But not this weekend! WooHoo. The I woke up broke as ever. Seems it really was just a dream.
Have a great week Tiger Fans!

Friday - took half the day off and went to lunch with friends, hit the casino, bars and overall acted a fool for the afternoon/evening. Take out burgers for dinner.
Saturday - sons basketball game, lots of play time outside as the sun was out all weekend. Grandma and Grandpas for dinner, some kind of fancy pork chops were on the menu. I was drunk as a skunk and only my wife knew, so I made it through that gauntlet. Virtual wine tasting with a bunch of friends, which was actually fun. Lots of Screwball Whiskey with the wine tasting, not a great combo for my belly the next morning.
Sunday - lots of laziness and helped the kids with virtual Sunday Skrool. I actually like the lesson too, it was good. Took kids to Ann Arbor so that my wife could get stuff done around the house. Took kids to Buffalo Wild Wings, twas a good time. Really hot waitress, really good beer, did some house shopping. Thinking about moving to Ann Arbor, but not sure right now. There are some good deals downtown, but I am skeptical about living in a college town and living like next door to the University, but it was still fun to look at a couple houses. Had lots of beer and oysters with friends, came home, drunk once again and made steaks and corn on the grill. Sexy time and then watched Wedding Crashers as I crashed.
9.975/10
Hopefully I am still COVID immune cause I was around a TON of people all weekend.

Friday, ran to the Publix to get a few needed ingredients and came home to make pork fried rice. Turned out excellent. Let Mrs. pick a couple of movies on Netflix that weren't really all that good but we finished both anyway.
Saturday, a few chores, hiked with pup, then over to RH Mom's to watch basketball game. Back home to play bas for a couple of hours working through some free online courses I found. Tossed some large taters in the over and had overstuffed baked taters for supper then settled in to watch the 2021 Bass Bash online. It's usually a private event at the Winter NAMM show, but the organizers opened it up this year. They did demos of several bass guitars, bass amps, and effects pedals, none of which you could easily find anywhere around here so it was worth 3.5 hours of my time. They gave away one of everything they featured by doing the Like/Share/Comment thing across various social media platforms but I'll have to wait until March 20 to see if I won anything.
Sunday, woke up and made Belgian waffles and sausage, took the pup on a really long hike down the river, then made grocery run early afternoon. Came home and made a large jar of pickled red onions, hiked the pup again, then back home to run through a few tunes that we're planning on doing for our Supper Club at the end of the month. Mrs. Tig made hamburger steaks, roasted potatoes and onions, and slaw using Napa cabbage. Never bought Napa before, but bought some after watching a cooking show where the guy did all kinds of things with it. Will purchase again. Cleaned up kitchen, watched Walking/Talking Dead, crashed.
I'll score the weekend a phat 18.70/19 Covids.

Friday...swung by and saw daughter-of's picture on display in the Anderson art gallery. She won 1st place elementary school art for the whole county. Her art talents definitely came from her Mom! Was pretty impressive for a 5th grader I must say.
Saturday...wife-of sick...did some cleaning around the house, played some BB with son-of in driveway, watched Clemson BB shoot some 3's, coached daughter-of's BB team to a 39-17 victory - daughter-of was a force in the middle again - got every player some points, which is hard to do - dinner with wife-of at Doolittle's - big fan of their crab cakes and tiramisu. Was beat and fell asleep by 8pm. Don't know why, but coaching may make me more tired than playing.
Sunday...cooked nice breakfast spread using some homemade breakfast sausage my company's insurance agent gave me. Was dang good. Took daughter-of to her guitar and piano lessons. Then took daughter-of, son-of, and friend of daughter to Big Air in Greenville. If I get COVID, I'll know where I caught it. Fun was had by all and kids didn't fight, which is a big win. Took them to dinner at Red Robin, then home. Watched Chappelle Show on Netflix and in bed again by 8:00.
All-in-all not a bad weekend.

It occurred to me on Thursday(ish) that we're running out of oyster season rapidly, so I threw the idear out to the frans bubble and concurrence happened. Apparently there's only one oyster bed open in the entire state, in Beaufort, so oysters were in short supply, and local shop wasn't taking reservations, walk-in only. So I walked in when they opened at 10 on Saturday, and procured a coupla bushels. Great batch, second best this season, if not tied for first.
Sometimes, the bivalves fight back.
Was nice and hungover yesterday, but still managed to hang a ~40-50 lb. gate on my fence all by mahself.

what to do about a couple of issues, dont like any of the ideas. Decided I like my ideas better, arranged to hire some labor to do it myself at 1/5 the cost. Friday: Took krzywife to the IVF clinic and she had eggs retrieved, I came in a cup in the office, and they did some magic, pulled 24 eggs, 19 were mature, 15 were fertilized. Triple than the last time we went through this (wound up with 1 good embryo). Normally I wouldn't share this because manac will take it and unprovoked personally attack me with it, but frankly, we're so happy and this has been such a stressful struggle that I don't care. Don't really remember the rest of the day, I half worked, half relaxed with krzywife as she recovered, watched the finale of WandaVision - cool and meh.
Saturday: Played disc golf at a "nice" course (some of my friends have taken disc golf pretty seriously) and I had fun. We played it twice, got 6 miles of walking in and felt pretty good. Finished up the garage in prep for Sunday, took a few things to Goodwill, went to bed early.
Sunday: Woke up at 6am because it was Christmas Day. Played with Shuri and chilled the morning. Then finally, picked up the Tesla! Was worried about all the manufacturing issues and thoroughly checked it out and didn't find anything wrong. I've dreamed about having a Tesla for quite a long time, so I'm thrilled. We brought it home, put the all-weather mats in, applied the Clemson decals, and then drove it to the in-laws for them to check it out. Came home, played with the settings, then watched some TV and went to bed.
Monday: Got the call from the IVF clinic and we have 10 that are progressing normally, 2 are fast, and the other 3 are slow. So if we can get 10 blastocysts, and testing will whittle that down to maybe 2-3 embyros, that will be amazing. I'm also getting my vaccine later today.
Thursday: Closing on the house refinance - throwing that in here because holy shitballs this has been a week.

Very cool. While living in Tulsa, I got to know the doc who

did the first IVF in the US at ODU, Dr Ed Wortham. Obviously a lab with many docs did it, but he ran the lab. He runs an IVF clinic in Tulsa, probably retired now.
He is the most ethical man one could ever find, and happens to be a follower of Jesus, so has had to address in his own mind "what about the unused embryos". That is a question of interest to me too, one a person cant just hand wave at.
You dont have a problem with it, so I wont to into details here, but will say only that Ed's position makes very much sense to me. Feel free to tmale me if you want to hear his position.
Kudos on the car. Enjoy it.

That’s where our last two came from.
I would say, no matter how much that doc recommends putting in multiple eggs to ensure one of them hatches, shake your fist in his face. Cause that’s how fraternal twins happen.

comfy waiting room type chair, a small side table with a probably 20" tv on it with built in DVD player. There's a magazine rack with Playboys, and about 5 DVDs of random pr0n, plus a pad/sheet thing to put on the chair, the cup you're supposed to do the deed into, and a sink for washing hands. The instructions have in bold "If you're in there for more than 45 minutes, we reserve the right to knock on the door and you must reschedule your appointment" (I assume that's more for the ones that are getting their sperm tested and not for the actual egg extraction fertilization because at the same time krzywife was going back and going under).
So I didn't touch anything and used my phone. It sucked the first time, it sucked the second time, lol.

I'm assuming they try to stay pretty vanilla with the pron, but do some offices stray off the path a little and get kinky? Might even happen accidentally if the doc just decides to throw a few from his home collection in there, and people end up with midget anal lactation cuck pron. People have this mentality of "hey, this gets my rocks off, so it probably does the same for everybody else", and then find out that they're actually pretty weird the hard way.
Oh, and how many cameras were in the room? Just the standard 3? Or did they go for more angles?

Didn’t do a whole lot Friday night. Did a lot of work around the house Saturday, then took advantage of the nice weather and went for a walk on the local trail. Some friends of ours who had been branching all day met up with us with their kids and we stopped off at a local elementary school playground for the kids to run around for a while. I chortled because not only were they half drunk, they had beers in their hand while out and about. White privilege.
Sunday, made myself a ten year purchase...bought myself some Callaways and hit the driving range to try them out. Not too shabby. Came home afterwards and cooked up some venison my parents brought on their last visit, very tasty.
That’s all. 7/10, no buyers remorse. YET.

Friday: Going out of town Saturday and didn't have anymore leftovers from the week, so we had Five Guys for the first time in over a year. Not sure if it was the pandemic, ordering online, or whether or not their quality has tanked, but ####, it was disappointing.
Saturday: Drove to Greensboro to visit my parents since we haven't seen them since Christmas due to Covid. Had a great time with them Saturday. They are dogsitting my sisters dogs my sisters house, so we went back to my parents with my mom Saturday night. Got pizza to go from the local pizza joint and holy SHID I had not seen that many people gathered in one spot since before COVID. It was kind of spooky and I considered just leaving the pizza there and starving rather than go inside to pick it up. Pizza sucked for some reason, so bad food two nights in a row.
Sunday: Went and got my first dose of Pfizer at the GSO Coliseum. I don't mess with needles so I got pretty clammy, but everyone there was super friendly and kind and I am so thankful they are doing such a great job. Arm held up and was minimally sore, but today I can tell I have much less strength in my left arm than my right and its mildly sore. Had some smoked kielbasa and homemade perogies (both from a deli in Cleveland) and ####, that #### was fire. One thing I miss about living with my parents is my Grandmothers German/European influence on my moms cooking. Id say at least twice a month wed have some traditional german meals and/or polish meals. I'm talking red cabbage, Sauerbraten, bratwurst, schnitzel, kielbasa, perogies, potatoes, sauerkraut and fresh breads. Got dinner to go last night because we didn't have time to grocery shop once we got back into town.
