Houston beating SEC 10-3 at half.

That’s sec Awburn, our historical football Sister school since our 1st FB Coach (a professor from there) then brought to Clemson the next year John Heisman from Auburn..

and our mascot, colors & ferocity for winning & playing tough-nose football began.

...it's because the SEC is a superior conference. When the ACC sweeps the SEC it's a fluke because the SEC is a superior conference.

Came from Princeton which was the winning team in the late 1800s, not Auburn.

Check it out since our 1st coach was an Auburn professor & next year he hired John Heisman from Auburn..

so wouldn’t it have been easy for one or the other to choose what they knew about mascots & colors at Auburn and not from Princeton.

He's correct on this one, Bill. Riggs allowed the team to vote on it--they chose "Tigers" since the Princeton Tigers were national champions that year.

Princeton it is. I like them & have visited their lovely campus and have a cap, T-shirt & small pillow from there.

But, bet the orange & blue ~> (actually NW Blue for Clemson which is a purple) came from Auburn. ??
