Notre Dame Will Get their Chick Fil A

A small group of students and faculty were attempting to block Chick Fil A from coming on the ND campus but the Administration Oked it. Sen. Graham was backing Chick Fil A and had the opponents in a hissy fit.

possibly you should educate yourself as to why they do not want a chic file on their campus. Because you find that absolutely, a lack of tolerance and inclusiveness is involved in the reasoning, just not on the side of the 180 or so students and faculty that exercised their first amendment rights and signed a petition, one that unsuccessfully prevented a fast-food franchise from opening in their town.

i have no problem with chi fila myself, they can do whatever they like. But I find it absolutely stunning that they are being accused of attacking Christians when ND is a private school founded on Catholicism, and in reality just happen to be a little more tolerant of gays than Chi Fila. That is the reason for the petition. I would be willing to bet that the majority of the 180 people that signed this petition were members of the LGBT community, or have people close to them that are and THEY themselves feel persecuted. It is all nonsense from both sides, people are just looking for someone to blame their unhappiness on..
that is the crux of this, Joe for all his incredible writing gifts, intelligence, and detail in his stories, is only telling half of THIS story, and he is smarter than that. People of intelligence have a responsibility to others, NOT stirring the pot is one of them.

(Q) Hey, you old buzzard. I see this asinine post of yours is on the Amphitheatre Board. Why didn't you post it on the Football Board?
(A) I thought I'd lose my membership if I did so.
(Q) Do you have a simple solution to this complex problem?
(A) Let the Administration determine what the students and faculty want (Chick Fil A, Burger Princess, The Rotten Potato, Prince Phillips Fish and Chips, etc) and everyone can exercise their options. Isn't that what we normally do? I don't support certain businesses for various reasons. But, I don't want someone else to deny me of that option.
