Dabo is a VERY good coach and his record speaks for itself. Period. I like Dabo ABD I think he is legit as a good and caring human being and a role model for his players. Dabo is solid.
But, a little friendly advice to Dabo - sometimes it is better to NOT publicly speak your opinions. Now, Finebaum has jumped on him. I am no Finebaum fan, but you do NOT want him as an adversary. Also, Finebaum and Saban are VERY close. You just don’t want either of them against you. Not good.

I've been meaning to ask, you bench 305 all the time, why not bump it up to 3 plates on each side and go for 315 on the regular?

The reason is I have NO SPOTTER. I know I can do 305. However, it is not easy and I struggle with it. The last thing I want is for me to fail and, potentially, have a serious problem if the bar with over 300 pounds comes down on me.

2 options for you:
1) No clip on one side, so you can just dump off the weights if you get pinned.
2) Get a power rack, I got one and it has safety bars for that purpose, super helpful and allows me to really push myself without a spotter on a daily basis.

Dabo is 100% though.
To me playoffs have killed bowl games. I use to enjoy around December watching all the bowl games for how exciting they were. Now if you make a bowl all the star players sit out which you should know a lot about that bulldog. Playoffs is all about the money and I don’t like our guys playing more games before they have a shot at the nfl. One extra game gives a higher risk of a career ending injury.

Saban mentions another thing that I’ve wondered about. What happens to the bowl games that have conference tie-ins? The SEC and ACC runner up is likely to be in the top 12 so how does this work?

On a side note...I listened to that entire presser yesterday while at working and didn't hear anything controversial not did anything strike me as an "uh oh" moment. If anything i was surprised about his take on the NIL and how he thought it should have happened a long time ago. (just another media distortion that i bought) But then like clockwork as I was watching espn at a restaurant last night I was surprised to see that they were all up in a tizzy about Dabo "sounding off" today in a q&a presser.... ITs crazy how material starved our national journalism is these days. They way they find a target and just frame their narrative to create something out of nothign...

He’s a Tennessee grad that gets on his knees for Nick Saban! He’s a first class ###### bag that’s arrogant and narcissistic and thinks he matters. I’m sure Dabo couldn’t care less white that idiot thinks!
Nick Saban complains and ####### more than any coach I’ve ever seen. And he does it without being asked a direct question. He just stands up there and starts saying ####. But of course the media worships Nick Saban so he can say anything and let criminals and thugs get away with crimes and not miss a single game of football. Because all Alabama and the SEC care about is winning at all costs!
Here’s the irony of all of this Dabo stuff. The media has been bitching for years that coaches give them the same regurgitated nonsense over and over. That it’s all coach speak. Then someone like Dabo comes along that is fresh original a non-conformist an original thinker that’s old-school and goes against the grain and because he’s not Nick Saban and because Clemson is not in the SEC they slam him for it. Sorry folks. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. You can’t say coaches never give you anything original then slam the one guy other than Mike Leach that actually gives you something original.
Also, there are plenty of people in the media and tons of football coaches that don’t like that the playoffs are expanding. Millions of fans don’t like the new format either. People that like Dabo is the only one that thinks this way. That’s just nonsense and total BS. I watched a little bit of the ACC media event today and players on other teams sere saying they don’t like that the playoffs are going to expand. And they gave some of the same reasons as Dabo.
Clemson did not need an expanded playoff to get better. The current system is not ruining college football. If you want to get better try harder! If Clemson can do it any school can do it with the right coach. This is more about the fact that there are only a handful of truly great coaches. There’s tons of talent out there. There are lots of schools with similar talent to Clemson. It’s about coaching. I have said for decades that coaching is the most important part of football. More important than players. But you have to have both if you want to be consistently great and win championships.
