If you're going to change your uniform, do so for a tactical advantage. The chrome finish should make players more visible to the quarterback.

That was Oregon's rationale (in part) when they wore similar helmets in their bowl game, and I agree.

All the other alternative uniforms - like black helmets, etc. - might look good, but they can put your quarterback at a disadvantage when he drops back to look for receivers.
