do Populists on the right and as I do any political movement that's moored only by the shifting sands of popular opinion while embracing government authority as a bludgeon for their agenda. However, as a libertarian/neoliberal, we do share some similar goals:
- Justice reform (as a broad umbrella)
- Police accountability (probably could fall under the above, but it's significant enough to list separately)
- Housing reform (kill all the NIMBYs and build high density housing on their bones)
- LGBT Ally (in general; post-Obergefell it's more about fighting new stupid policy than pushing for changes to existing policy)
I'm also, I suppose, something of an environmentalist but believe technological advances via capitalism is the solution to "climate change" as it truly exists and not as it data-manipulated to be.

defund the police. Their rhetoric makes all police to be racists.

To address each point:
1. We want police accountability. We would also like to de-militarize the police.
2. Only complete morons think anyone is "pushing" to "mutilate" little children. Progressives likely recognize that that kind of scare-rhetoric from conservatives is simply designed to continue to marginalize trans people.
3. I don't quite understand that third sentence, but if you find trans people "creepy" you likely need to look inward to see why these people, who have no impact on your life, bother you so much.
4. Spoken like someone who doesn't spend much time in cities.

When you say neo liberal/libertarian, and the way you describe it, it reminds me of classical liberal. Which from a political lens is as closely as I can describe myself. As close as I can tell, I'm a classical liberal and radical pragmatist. I am glad that the modern left calls themselves progressives and does not use the term liberal as much. Progress is more subjective than liberal.

I joined the local Charlotte neoliberal chapter, as it's the closest political group I could identify with; at least until the GOP purges the populists (a tenet of neoliberalism is, literally, "pragmatism over populism"). But here is, in spite of some differences, why I like these dudes. The co-leader is in divinity school and his passion project is getting local churches to dedicate church land to high density affordable housing.

Some significant social accomplishments include eliminating slavery, child labor laws, women’s rights, voting rights, Social Security / Medicare for seniors, civil rights, anti-discrimination laws (including age, race, religion etc.), education desegregation, sports desegregation, women equality, LGTBQ+ rights, American Disability Rights, environmental protection legislation (incidentally most significant environmental legislation passed under Republican administrations), advocacy for international human rights etc.
So Americans should be proud of tremendous accomplishments in human equality and social justice but some opportunities still exist. The USA doesn’t $ uck but it’s not perfect. It most cases, it’s simply a matter of crossing the finish line and not regressing.
America is a historically great country and still has opportunities to get better.

1. it is absolutely NOT "extremely rare"
2. research indicates that sex isn't necessarily the neat binary format we're accustomed to, but something closer to a spectrum. Most people fall pretty closely to one of the poles (traditional male XY, traditional female XX), but there is a whole lot more in between than you think or that science has shown definitively yet.
Do you think there are more gay people in the US now than there were 40 years ago? Sure seems like it, right? Now...why do you think that is?

I do think much of this is a semantic matter. Where there aren't commonly accepted words to describe something, we tend to overlook it.
I mean, look at "LatinX," a word that sends some people into a tizzy. Well it is a pretty good catch all. And is a little easier to say than "latinos, latinas, and people of South and Central American and Caribbean ancestry who identify as neither latino nor latina."
And while Ls, Gs, and Bs aren't the same as Ts and Qs, much of the discrimination comes from the same place, and it is all related to issues of sex and gender, so it shouldn't be a surprise that their matters, under law and policy, are addressed collectively.

You watch foxnews , read it online, and the gaggle of other conservative entertainment sites…it’s all over the place.
