when we've had thursday games attendance has been around 70000-75000. Might be less for yall since more ppl have to travel longer distances.

announced attendance was 72 or 75 thousand though
atmosphere was insane though. I'd expect something similar at Clemson, slightly smaller, more rambunctious crowd

3. Clemson - Whether it was running down the hill or the fans rising for a key third down, Death Valley is one of the loudest stadiums in the country. The structure of the stadium helps keep the noise in well. The Clemson fans are very underrated when it comes to the most passionate fans and they show up well for a big night game. If you follow what Kirk Herbstreit says, you would know that he was also surprised during his 2006 visit to Clemson when College Gameday was present for the Georgia Tech game. He thinks Clemson is the second-best experience they have had during his years at ESPN behind Ohio State in terms of crowd reaction. Clemson is a tremendously loud environment

but I will be shocked if there are 80,000 in Clemson that night. Thursday night is a good thing from an exposure standpoint, but from a logistical standpoint, it's bordering on a nightmare. Clemson may wind up moving Fall Break to that Thursday and Friday to make it a little easier to handle. All of the football parking lots (well, the real lots at least) are used during the week for other purposes and trying to have classes that day AND get ready for the game with the policy of having IPTAY parking available 12 hours prior to kickoff is exceedingly difficult, if not impossible The downtown merchants will not make as much money as they do on a Saturday because of the smaller crowd, so it isn't as good for the local economy.
