Looks like Drew Swinney has a chance, but maybe slim like Jim Carrey's character.

Imagine the narrative if DJ was at 80% completion with 2 TDs and about 50 more yards. I rewatched the game yesterday and it was surprising how poorly the RT was at times and how many dropped passes there were. I was blinded by the excitement of the game. But it definitely wasn’t all on DJ.

I also think part of the overall perception is timing. If the first 2 drives with the muffed snap and fumble were swapped with TDs from the second half, the overall feeling would be MUCH better. The second drive in particular was pretty solid up until the fumble.

People see what they want to see. Many expected to see more of last year’s offense and with those 2 mistakes, they got it.

Anywho…I felt the same way last season…DJ has his struggles for sure but darned if our WRs just seem to be going through the motions lately. I don’t know why but they just don’t seem to have the hunger for the ball like we are used to seeing. They don’t get themselves open, they do t fight for the ball. I saw a little blocking on Monday which was better than last year. I just don’t see the same energy as I’ve seen in years past from our WRs.
