Since when have teams been able to schedule 2 FCS

teams in a season? Murray State and Savannah State. And those aren't even good FCS teams.
That's pathetic by FSU and they aren't nearly the only team.

They did try to find a quality replacement. FSU generally schedules a high profile early season game. Can't fault them for this season.

So they have to win 7 now, not that they will have any problem doing that. The Triangle ACC teams have been doing this for years. Look at the OOC schedules for NCSU the last few seasons

but only 1 FCS win can count towards the 6 wins needed for bowl eligibility... although I don't think they have to worry about that

Well WVU left them in a lurch. I don't care for them but you can't blame them for playing 2 FCS teams this year

WVU dropped that game very late in the process forcing FSU to make a quick change... they reached out to a lot of schools and that was the only one they could schedule.

to play ANYONE and got zero takers. Reluctantly they had to add Savannah St. As much as I hate the Noles, you can't fault them for that!

sometimes you get stuck in a bad scheduling situation and have to play 2.
We nearly had to do it in 2009 after Central Michigan and the MAC refused to come here (thanks to us hanging 70 on them), but fortunately, we were able to get TCU on a one-time game.

You can schedule them just only 1 counts toward a bowl game. We had same issue in 2008. Thats why we had to win 7 to be bowl eligible.
