But they aren’t worth much. Neither am I.
But I have a dog, a wife that I love dearly and she seems to love me (most days), two kiddos I love more than they’ll ever know, and they are mostly obedient and respectful, plus I got a roof over my head and air conditioning in both my vehicles and home. What more could a guy ask for?

at 65 (in today's dollars), my observation of several examples has been that at age 40 they might seem to be barely above water. However, they will have situated things and habits such that net worth goes from little to a lot in the next 20 - 25 years.

At age 60 I won’t worry about that. Time is more valuable than money. Even if I worked everyday for the rest of my life and never spent a dollar, I can’t gain back even a second with my 14 year old son. Those moments are fleeting. Fleeting is literally a word created to show how easy it is to waste time. Every story worth telling is literally told, to tell us to invest our time and energy wisely. I’ve yet to read a story where someone’s great morality said earn more money and save it and you’ll be happy. I’d gladly take on 100 years of debt, just to have back a single moment with my boys. To see them in action with what I now know. Strange thing is… even as I know what I now know… I’m still actively wasting my time for money and for other things as well. Strange how we never learn until it’s too late.

oven that came via UPS a couple days ago. And I didn't even buy that: Xmas gift from kids.
That's right, most excitement I've had in a year was firing up the new pizza oven on the patio last night. Worked great, btw. Oh, and in a golf outing last week, borrowing a friend's driver showed me that I've aged out of stiff flex (an oxymoron that applies only to golf clubs) and into regular flex. So I'll have a new driver in a few days.
A car that I have to have anyway, a pizza oven somebody else bought, and a golf club. That's all I need.

wood/lump charcoal burner in the back rather than pellets. Converts to gas with the purchase of a burner, which is attached in place of the wood burner box. I don't intend to do that, as easy as last night was. I used lump charcoal because I have a Green Egg, so had that fuel on hand. Used very little, maybe a coffee can sized amount of charcoal. Heated to 900 degrees in 15 minutes; I let it calm down a little to about 700 to cook two pizzas, abut 6 minutes each. Not quite as easy to use as a gas grill, of course, but is way easier than the Green Egg, or any charcoal grill. My guess is that the operation/results is very similar to the pellet model. Based on last night, I wouldn't think there is any difference between the two.

Oh, as to quality of pizza:

We have done them on the Green Egg, in the kitchen oven, and now on the Ooni. MissTulsa and I both ranked them: 1. Ooni 2. Green Egg 3. Kitchen oven.
Of course on cold winter evenings we will mostly use the kitchen, but for a patio night the Ooni is not only ridiculously easy, but the pizza is very good. There are youtubes of people doing cast iron steaks in the Ooni, and at 900+ degrees, with flame over the top, I can see where that might be very good. If so, the only thing I'll have to use the Egg for - which is a little bit of a bear to operate - is smoking.
I'm now figuring out how to build a permanent base for it, like a purpose built pizza oven. As best I can tell, a few decorative concrete block (like sold at Home Depot for garden walls) will do a nice job, and easy/cheap.
If one is into making pizza, this has my recommendation.

was at a '10' before I tried the Egg and Ooni, and the improvement there is barely incremental. The only thing the outdoor ovens add is a slight smoke flavor which, honestly, not everyone likes in pizza. Once you're making your dough and rolling out your own pizza, you've got 99% of everything you can do.
I am curious, however, about the steel stone in your kitchen oven. I've been using actual stones so long - 25 years - that I am not up on the latest. Tell me about the steel and why you like it. I might be a buyer.
I mention homemade dough, and while nothing beats MissTulsa's, some grocery stores do a decent dough now. In 1995 we were avant-guarde in pizza, but no more. Publix has it in the refrigerated section of the deli section, but I do not recommend. Is like rolling out a tennis ball. Ingles has pizza dough balls in the frozen section, and those are really good. As MissTulsa has gotten less domestic, she is less likely to make dough, buying that instead. No complaints. Is quite good.
For me, the gold standard his her recipe, which is a standard Neapolitan recipe, in which she subtracts half the water, replacing it with vodka. The idea is that in cooking, the vodka cooks out faster and results in a harder crust, if one likes that, which we do.
And hers are easier to roll out. A few swipes and I'm done. Even Ingle's dough takes a little work to roll out. No big deal.

some money in a couple retirement accounts. Together we may be worth NORTH of $20k.
Include that with inheritance and I can see Greenr being worth North of $100k in a couple years. Unfortunately, that would mean everyone in my family in older generations is dead though. Mom is the only one left. I got an Aunt alive as well.
