Good morning everybody. How was your weekend?

Sep 23, 2019, 7:54 AM

Friday night, went to CostCo looking for a compost tumbler, settled for some towels and beef jerky. Dinner at Local Que then to Iron Hill to knock out a stamp from the beer passport thing.

Saturday up at a decent time boogied on down to Clemson. It was nice to not be in a hurry. Picked up last of the tailgating supplies. Got parked. Got Sharkgirl some Starbucks, headed towards the RH family spot, Sis of and Co arrive shortly after. The distinguished Warlord arrives a bit after that. Fun times were had, even had some good conversations with some Charlotte folks. No super cheap tickets materialized so we head to the bar. Good times had at the bar. I get drive home, fall asleep before the Issaquena Trail exit.

Sunday, really, really lazy.

Welp, the Tigers won, the coots lost but I didn't die.

More recuperating, football.

Friend came over with some Jim Beam Black and we enjoyed several libations.

Watched the most boring Tiger game ever.

Got our 8th gator

Sep 23, 2019, 8:02 AM

not very big. Had very few opportunities and at 3 a.m. Saturday settled on this 8 ft 3.

Coworker gave me the keys to his house 5 miles from the ramp. Crashed there for 3 hours, drove home, cleaned gator, ordered pizza, watched dem tigers.

Sunday - Church, short nap, haircut for McJr, Car wash, church again and find myself back in the office.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Sep 23, 2019, 12:46 PM

what are the edible parts of the gator that you keep?

The tail is best but even that isn't very good.

We normally get meet of the jawls, ribs, and leggies in addition to the tail.

When they are bigger, you need a big treble on a rope to pull them up like the one tossed here

Friday: Took care of the lawn and planted some flowers.

Saturday: Power washed the deck and painted the railing. Laughed at Carolina (pick one). Watched the Tigers win. Passed out.

Sunday: Hosted oldest DaughterOf's bridal shower. She's installing husband 2.0 next month. I hope I'm dead before she upgrades to 3.0.

Monday: I ain't doing chit!

Pretty good....

Sep 23, 2019, 8:12 AM

Friday...met wife-of and daughter-of at for sushi at Nami in Anderson. Good stuff. Hit the bed early.

Saturday...cooked the fam a good breakfast, and settled in for long day of college football. Was fun starting off the day watching Michigan get its #### kicked. Watch games all day and masterfully avoided a honey-do list my wife kept giving me. Kids had some friends over and I built them a fire in the outdoor fireplace and they made smores. Watched the Tigers rout another opponent. Little concerned about our run defense. Was nice to see Chase play some meaningful minutes. Watched UGA/ND game in parallel. Was a good game.

Sunday...went to Athens to watch their womens soccer game against Furman. One of our friends from Augusta has a daughter that plays for them and we had never seen her play. She is a senior and it was senior day, so that was cool. They beat Furman. First time out in the heat/sun since surgery and it kicked my #### pretty good. Nice facility, but not right on campus and wife and I agreed Clemson layout is better (along with everything else). We did have pre-game lunch downtown Athens and it has sure grown over the years. Last time I really spent time downtown there was when I co-op'd there 30 years ago. Stopped at Sonny's in Commerce for dinner on way back home. Fantasy team finally brought in a W. Sleep.

Sep 23, 2019, 8:15 AM

Friday night - Cub scout campout. Took 10yo and 5yo. Had fun. Pitched tent, collected fire wood, built fire, went on hike, ate smores, campfire stories, whole 9 yards.

Saturday - Packed up went home then unpacked. Took car in for 150K service. Then took 2yo for his first haircut. Got haircuts for other two at same time. Ate lunch. Went home. Took nap because camping. Got car. Came back home drank and watched USC get killed, then watched Clemson kill. Went to sleep 83% fitzschased.

Sunday - Church, then sold popcorn from noon to 2pm. Sold close to $300 this time. Came home. Let wife take nap. Then she went to grocery store while I napped because Clemson game. Went and saw dad in evening.

8.963/10

Amazing as typical, cannot complain

Sep 23, 2019, 8:18 AM

Friday - grilled steaks and salmon, baby brocolli and some sticky rice. Probably the best steak I have ever cooked here at home.

Saturday - played all morning with my son and two of his friends and their dad. Town streets were closed for a festival, so they rode bikes all morning all over town and were exhausted. Came home, went to mall to return some stuff, got into an argument with my wife, came home and had pizza for dinner. The spat last a while, but I went to basement to have beer and watch the Tigers kick azzzzz.

Sunday - saturday argument is over and its church time. then we went to a friends house to pick apples and make apple cider. Fireball was cracked at 11am, then I slowly drank all day long. Made for a super long day. But it was fun watching football outside, sipping some Two Hearted and enjoying the weather and enjoying watching the kids run around with all their little friends.

9/10 for sure.

-1 point for marital bliss not being achieved this weekend.

Not bad, not bad.

Sep 23, 2019, 8:21 AM

Friday: couple frans came over and we threw some bags and drank some Claws since there are no laws when you're on the claws. Rode golf cart up to clubhouse for a likker drank, threw a few more bags, called it a night.

Saturday: was planning on taking kids to beach early and be back in time for the 3:30 games. 19She not feeling well, so I decided to stay local and take the kids to Crowfield Fest, where they have a bunch of restored cars that vote for winners. Place was also full of vendors who simply don't understand economics. There were a couple of shitty bounce houses at this event. I walk up to the tent to get wristbands for the kids. 19 year old is like "so what do you guys want to do?" "How about the bounce houses?" "Alright, that'll be 24." "24 what?" "24 dollars." I laughed. Out loud. We turned around and walked off, and the kids didn't even care. $24 to go play on a couple crappy bounce houses that the kids would have been bored with in 7, possibly 8 minutes. There were a good 200 kids out at this event, and literally 4 kids on the bounce houses. Charge $2 instead of $8, and you would have had most of the kids crawling all over those things. Same with the food vendors. $7 for a plain hot dog. $10 if you wanted chili and cheese. For a hot dog. That cost you $.30. Enjoy the $48 you made today.

Buddy had his 2 boys out there with us, and ended up losing his youngest, who is 7. Took 20 minutes and a little panic to locate him, back at the bikes they had ridden in on. All 5 kids wanted to go on the merry go round, so me and buddy turned straight meathead and spun them as fast as we could. There were a few other kids on there as well, and their parents were looking on and laughing. Had 4 or 5 kids fly off into the sand and laugh about it and hop back on. Then my youngest took a more serious spill and hurt her hip and head and elbow--her day was over. Oldest, 11 year old, got off the merry go round and said "I don't feel so great." We walked to the car, and I hear behind me "Dad, I threw up." Turn around, and he emptied his gut of that pesky Kona Ice and sausage biscuit. Got home, and bragged to 19She about how responsible I was for the hour we were gone. Only 2 of the 3 kids had something traumatic happen to them. That's how you parent, gents.

Watched foosball at fran's house, drank a lot, played darts and bags, lots of good games, topped off by a defensive masterpiece between the Washington State Fighting Leaches and Chip Kelly, who averaged 14 points a game his first 3 games and dropped 67 on WSU. 67-63. Man, what a great basketball game.

Sunday: made it to the beach. Took 19She 90 minutes to pack (took me maybe 4 minutes to pack all the chairs, cart, tent, cooler, and a change of clothes). It's so absurd. Lots of talent on Sullivan's, no ninjers. Capped the afternoon with The Sleeper at Poe's, haven't had in years, still legit. Buffalo shrimp and roasted garlic blue cheese spread on a burger.

8.7/10, wood dew most of it again.

Sep 23, 2019, 9:23 AM

Friday: Insane night.

Saturday: Up early running errands. All of a sudden I smell a burning smell and my dash starts smoking.

Quickly unplug the stuff in the cigarette lighter thing. Still smoking. Pop the hood and try to take out the fuse. Fuse had heated, melted the plastic so when it blew it pushed the two metal pieces together never cutting power. Ran in the house to grab pliers. By the time I got back outside with the pliers I had flames coming out the dash melting part of it. Had to use a fire extinguisher.

There goes any trade in value I thought I had for a new truck.

Went to the aquarium for niece's birthday.

Came home and cleaned powder out of my car the rest of the night.

Wife of acted crazy again.

Sep 23, 2019, 9:38 AM

Friday, took half day and got some chores done, made a long hike along the Catawba River with the pup, came home and thought about going to Charlotte for the Sarah Shook show but Mrs. Tig and I both had a case of the lazy. Drank a few beers and watched something or other on TV.

Saturday, had to get up and go to Clemson to work, my new film started shooting and it was imperative that I get there in time to fully get into character. My able assistants, aerozeptallica and SharkGirl, made sure that I had the necessary fluids so as not to get dehydrated before we rolled film. Everything we splendidly, and I'm anticipating awards after the film is released.

Sunday, got up and headed back to Rock Hill. So hungry that I couldn't make it home, so I stopped at Hardee's in Blacksburg for a delicious upscale brunch experience, and it was delightful. Got home, put everything away, threw my movie costume in the wash, and flopped into the Big Chair. The band we were going to see at the Thirsty Beaver had to cancel, so just relaxed most of the afternoon. Finally got up and went to the grocery store, got back and watched the last 9 minutes in shock as the Panties managed to embarrass Arizona, took the pup out for a stroll, then came back in and ate leftover Smokin' Pig. Flopped back into the Big Chair and watched Fear The Walking Dead and Preacher, then crashed.

It was a very nice weekend in spite of having to work all day Saturday, but I think it's a solid career move that pays off for me in the long run as a serious actor. It's not easy to pull off the part of a half-drunk college football fan, and I'm not sure very many people could do it and make it looks so easy. Maybe I will bring my Oscar to Clemson and let people take their picture with it after I win.

'Cause i worked all weekend like a Mexican on labor day.

Friday-gathered stuff in the house to take to storage on Saturday. Went and got something to eat, watched the latest Men In Black movie and was in bed by 10:30.

Saturday-got up early and took a bunch of stuff over to the Pod. I can't bring the Pod back to my place any more because they tear up my grass too much getting it in place. I probably should just throw everything out in the Pod now, because it looks like they bounced the thing over some railroad tracks and went through a tornado getting it back to where they store it. A bunch of stuff was turned over, and a table was broken when it turned over. Went to Home depot and bought a 2'x5' playskool looking plastic shed to put the generator, blower, rakes, etc in to get them off my front porch. Assembled that for a few hours, then cleaned in the house trying to get it ready to sell. Watched the game, and was in bed as soon as it was over.

Sunday, celebrated being another year older by cleaning some windows and washing/scrubbing the front porch. Went and grabbed lunch, and afterwards was so exhausted I had to sit on the couch and zone out for a bit..which was an hour long nap. Woke up and went to mainland container for a Bahama's benefit that had a few bands (only saw one), had a few beers, and went home and crashed hard.

little rocky. was lukcy to not end up in trouble for having slapped a B.

Got up in the morning, got some errands done pregame, took a trip out to campus early afternoon to drop off some goods with friends. went home, then actually packed up for the game. got the 4yo in the car and headed back to campus around 3. Got there, and our parking neighbors had their 14'x 14' tent in our spot. The polite old bitty kindly snapped at us that we were "late" as she and her husband moved the tent. then as I was backing in and she was NOT GETTING OUT OF THE EFFING WAY she kindly commented again that we were 'late'. This time, she noted that she was 'just kidding'. We were finally parked and unloading and she decided that she needed to say one MORE EFFING TIME "Well, y'all ARE late!" and that's when I lost my S**T!

I realized that my kid was watching me yell at an old lady, so I let it slide. but "I" kindly let her know that the time that I arrive has nothing to do with them being in our space. The folks on the other side were nice and helped

Anyway, I calmed down after that and rallied. For the first time, I think the boy had a good time as we tailgated with friends with kids the same age as he. Plus, I dragged him down tot he hill to watch the entrance up close, and the look on his face was priceless. He made it through the first half and even through the movie filming. So with all that we were happy.

You'd think we'd rest up on Sunday, but instead we hung out with friends on Hartwell for the afternoon and had another late night last night. So I/we have been dragging all morning.
