Predictions For Vic Beasley?

What is everyones predictions for Vic Beasley this upcoming season?
If he puts on the weight that he says he is and gets to 245, I say he becomes the best DE in the ACC. Triples all of his numbers from last year if he becomes every down DE.

I hope you are right but

Mar 15, 2013, 12:07 PM

I think he will mostly be used as a rush end in passing situations.

If he adds that weight, he'll be successful.

Mar 15, 2013, 12:13 PM

Otherwise he'll be a specialist.

I think he would need to get to 255-260 range

Mar 15, 2013, 12:20 PM

That is still kinda light. The more he could add the better as long as it is good weight.

Yea idk man. Barkevious Mingo played at 241 at 6'4"

Mar 15, 2013, 12:31 PM

I think you can play every down ball in the 240's if you have the size and strength which it appears Vic does.

Big difference playing at 240 lbs as a 3-4 OLB and 240 lbs as a 4-3defensive end

Vic doesn't have the frame to get to 260. People can't just put on 30 pounds of muscle overnight. Have you seen the kid? He is solid muscle as it is, he will probably never be over 245, but with his strength it shouldn't be a problem, Vic's weight room numbers are off the charts.

If he gets to 245lbs with his strength and quickness he could be a load to haandle.

24 sacks would be 1st team all American . I do see him

Mar 15, 2013, 12:35 PM

Being a force with his speed alone. Any added weight and he could see his sack total increase dramatically by not being just a situational pass rusher as you stated. I'd say 15 to 18 sacks as my prediction.

I see him as being Andre Branch but faster and stronger next year.

Von Miller plays in the NFL and is a dominant every down speed rusher at 235 pounds.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I PREDICT HE SHOULD START AT POWER FORWARD

Mar 15, 2013, 8:49 PM

Could have started there this year ahead of Milt the Wilt

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Probably a bit better at stopping the run and a wild man

Mar 16, 2013, 8:24 AM

on passing downs. He's not going to bulk up to the point that he'll be an immovable force on the corner, but with some good weight gain, he'll be even more of a terror on passing downs. I wish I could say he'll be an every down guy who is as dominant against the run as he is the pass, but I just can't see him putting on 40 lbs of quality weight. The more muscle he can put on, the more improved he'll be across the board. If he puts on weight that isn't quality weight, it'll do nothing but slow him down and make him less effective.

Bottom line, I expect he'll see a good bit more pt, but not a whole lot more on first down.

The definition of awesome!

Agree as long as added weight does not detract from....

Mar 16, 2013, 11:15 AM

his quickness.
