Mom just turned 100 in April. Last Friday she had a small stroke(TIA) and was admitted to the hospital. We got her back to her nursing facility Monday afternoon.
She had hallucinations Sunday and has had her nights and days mixed up. Today she has had a good day so far. She hasn't had any real impairment as far as motor skills but at times has trouble recognizing who we are, and gets really tired. She has slept away Monday and Wednesday.
She is a Tiger through and through, having been married to my Dad--Class of 1941--for 66+ years before he passed away in December 2008 at age 89(she was 93 then).
We know her time with us is limited, but your love for Clemson sustains us.
We love all of you.

Prayers. My Mom is 96 and in an assisted living facility. Sometimes she knows me and sometimes not. It is, indeed, the long goodbye. Tough times.

Sorry to hear about your Mom. We will be praying for her and your family. We chatted on T-Net several months ago. I live down the road from you in Newport (past Lake Wylie, SC). Finished in '72 with A. Burns from Rock Hill.

I'm praying that she recieve perfect healing as our Savior is perfect and that his perfect will be done. I pray that her mind returns sharper than ever and that she may never suffer another day in her life, I pray that her family feels the perfect peace and comfort that Gods Angels bring in tough times and the everyone who is close to her would be strengthened in the name of the King of Kings JESUS, Amen.

Update on my Mom:

Mom has had a good two days(Thurs and today). She has eaten well both days and has graduated from the bed to her wheelchair, We took her to the neurologist this morning and he said that what her facility was doing was what he would propose as well. He wants two tests run as a precaution and wants to see her in three months.
She complained about having to get up early to be there at 8:30am, then was late because she had to "put on her face". WOMEN!!!!!
Thanks for all your prayers the last couple of days. The TIA did cause some memory loss but nothing that cannot be overcome.
