He’s not been put in a very good position to succeed. However, the urban Meyer tenure won’t last long. If Trevor ends up being a true bust he will most certainly have plenty of fault.
I don’t think he will be a bust. I think he will have a rough ride through the urban era but will be a great NFL QB. When it’s all said and done.

We will know a true bust in the second season. He doesn't look great that is for sure but a lot dont starting as rookies. He's still gets 37 million and I dont see how anyone wont let him finish his contract looking for improvement. Either way NFL is a #### of an accomplishment bust or not.

Did y'all really think going to the worst team in the league was gonna translate to a playoff berth first year for TL?
TL went to the worst situation in the NFL (Maybe DET is worse). He's gonna take his lumps but I'm giving him 3-5 years based on his situation - heck, he may have another HC or 2 in that tenure.

I don’t think he will, but if I were his dad I would’ve pulled an Archie Manning no way I would’ve let him get drated by that clown show. Don’t know what they were thinking hiring a first year head coach for a rookie QB with zero supporting cast

Troy Aikman, Peyton Manning, Terry Bradshaw, (I think), only won one game in their initial seasons. A lot of other good solid HOF quarterbacks had rough starts. It's going to be according to how much the the owner and front office is dedicated to winning.

I just had to look up their first seasons. Holy crap Aikman might have had the worst out of everyone. 9 tds, 18 ints, 19 sacks, 55.7 rating.

They’ve won twice as many games than last year. As the first pick, he went to the worst team by far. A weak offensive line and better WR’s are needed (offense). It didn’t help when ETN had a season ending injury in the first quarter of their first game. Their WR also went out with a season ending injury. On defense, they need a CB and a DE (pass rush). All of this coupled with a HC with NO NFL coaching experience and it is about as expected. Matt Jones is doing great however, he went 15th to a vastly improved NE team (160 mil+ in free agents), a great OC and the best HC in NFL history.. it makes a big difference on where you land. Troy Aikman, 1 win… Manning, 28 Int’s .. he’ll be fine with the needed support and coaching.

Agreed doesn't help throwing it in the ground 4 straight to end the game. He had a good chance to get it downfield and tie it up just didn't clutch up.
