pooch kick

Which coach makes the decision on whether to pooch kick or kick away? We have the wind at our back and every previous kick off, even the ones into the wind made it at least to the goal line. They had not returned a kick off past the 25 and yet we elect to pooch kick in the 4th quarter and spot them at least 20+ yards. They then ultimately score and the defense starts its collapse.

Yeah the old D really let us down tonight. NOT! Actually they saved our offenses bacon the first half then the offense repaid the favor the second half.
