No poll needed, virtually all of the talking heads know more than every poster on this board. McShay said that Watson can maximize his long term potential by returning for his senior season. He certainly has historical data to support that conclusion. More college starts yield a higher probability for a longer career and more professional starts.
Part of that is that if you're good enough to start as a freshman, you're probably a better player than someone who doesn't start as a freshman. There are exceptions due to depth charts, but that's a factor that would influence McShay's data. It is a factor that skews the decision toward staying.
He also brought up Watson's downfield accuracy. Yes, I think he can improve and sticking around doing the same things with different players around him will make him better and more ready for the NFL. Can he make that same improvement playing or practicing in the NFL? I don't really know, but it seems like there's a critical point where you are on the field enough to make progress. What I don't know is whether Watson is at that point or not. Improvement in college is a sure thing, barring injury...
Then, he needs to consider his individual situation. Any contract will make a huge difference in his family's life. A contract in the first half of the first round or in the top 5-10 picks could make a difference for the next 10-15 years. Sticking around for the 2nd and 3rd contracts will make a difference for a generation, probably two. Watson has that IT factor that IMO will lead him to success in the NFL and in life. I don't think that Watson can make a wrong choice given where he is.

I agree with Coach Swinney has always said... if you are for sure going 1st Round... go. If not? Then you have room to improve and you should come back and improve.
The 15 INTs may push him to the 2nd round... however if he shows out in the CFP like he did last year, 1st round will be a lock.
I think he is leaving it open because should he not have the best game in the CFP then it make the 1st round impossible then maybe he seriously considers 2017 at Clemson.
Just my thoughts from the things I have seen.
