As far as BC and Syracuse playing on Friday night and having no recruits. HS football is mostly played on Saturday afternoon in the northeast.

Let's be honest. One game on a Friday night on the road in the Northeast is going to have minimal if any impact on their recruiting.

I couldn't agree more about the hype towards Notre Dame every year. I understand the history, and I am excited as hell about the upcoming game, but they just aren't that great right now. They have won ONE bowl game against a ranked opponent since 1994 (#23 LSU last year). And let's not forget about that great BCS Championship game a few years back. Despite all that, they are consistently picked to go the distance, including this year, by some. I just don't see it.

ND is picked because of the talent on the roster.... ND, SoCal, consistently have top 10 recruiting classes and so are a safe pick for a top 10 year... ND has consistently underperformed but that can change.
