I know it's hard, but those are the rules. If you are resorting to personal attacks, you lost whatever debate you were having or point you were trying to make.
This includes calling people racist obviously but also things like "poopy", "dims", "libtards", redumblicans, etc.
Also going around the filter, a$$hole, etc
Please use the ignore feature a certain poster bothers you that much.
We will have to give out bans going forward in order to clean things up, but hopefully you all can start keeping it civil.

I think the government does things that you don't like, that affect you in a negative way, and should therefore be criticized, by you, as appropriate, ideally along with personal efforts to effect positive change.

Seems like everyone has been getting along as well as I can remember in a long time. Yes, the terminology you reference is stupid but it's rarely directed at other posters as much as it is nameless, faceless masses.
Again, not an unreasonable request you make, but just making sure you're reading the room correctly......posters are rarely seriously personally attacking other posters, and when they do, they usually get called out on it by others long before a mod is needed.
Honestly, I see a lot more vitriol on the main board than even the P&R board.

Is "flamebaiting" still a word? When your whole style seems to be about antagonizing people who may disagree with you, over and over, on a very limited list of subjects, trying to "trigger" people...you need to get gone and develop a new hobby. His style is not about engaging in a serious policy debate.

B-Meist: I apologize for bringing out some truly virulent comments by some P & R posters. I trust you saw those posts?
One poster said he was sure my wife was sleeping with a black man. Another suggested my breath smelled of Trump's organ! And another claimed my anatomy was 'small'!
These comments are reprehensible and beyond the pale, ANYWHERE. My comments were mainly directed towards political leaders, which I consider fair game.

to tell you that I used to dislike you…a lot. But I like you now. I appreciate the site and I appreciate the work you put into the site.
I would also like to say that I like Unfinished Sentence too. He really cleaned it up. Reminds me of that wtrskitiger guy that turned into a decent citizen.
I would like to also say that I really like the new font and format. People have complained but it’s nice.

to the mods about anything. But if certain posts are causing the forum to be a less enjoyable experience, and many have remarked as such, and one wants it to be more enjoyable, then I wouldn't consider that having "hurt feelings" or being a "snowflake".
And the administrators are obviously interested in people having the desire to participate here, as that ties directly into ad revenue.

????? just to point out, it wasn't any of Muria's posts that I RA'd. Again, just assuming I may have been the one since I reported two different posts yesterday with the word ####.
And BOTH of those posts were posted by people from my side of the aisle.
I dont know exactly how much I spend per year on tnet, but I know I could find more uses for that money as a single father. I come here to try and enjoy posts, not see grown men using language that people use to degrade special ed kids.
