Why in the world would any coach fire his OC that won 2 National Championships? If we had a losing season back to back maybe, but would Dabo also be gone too since he is the CEO and Chairman of the Board?

Not a bad play call. The Tiger receiver was wide open, but the ball had way too much air under it and the Gamecock defender had plenty of time to settle under it. I remember the play and thought if Sammy had only thrown the ball on a line, it would have been a touchdown. We don't need Chad coming back because we've been there, done that. We could use some fresh blood, IMHO. Or, some fresh ideas.

I remember listening to gamecock radio on my drive home from the game and they said they had worked on that play all week. As soon as they saw the pass to Sammy they knew he was tossing it. Should have continued to run Tajh - but at least Morris took a chance once in a while, never happens now. We cant figure out how to attack a 3-man front from a Southern Conference caliber team.

If he had thrown the pass more towards the corner of the end zone the safety would have never gotten there even with the air under it. Humphries had the take it more to the post which allowed the safety to make a play.

If you want a downfield pass like that to reach the endzone with the right timing and location you ask your QB to throw it not your WR. Never understood that call. By my memory Clemson was moving the ball well at the time and the trick play was unnecessary.

I appreciate the attitude and toughness he brought to our program. We were a bit soft before he arrived and he transformed our offense and culture. I really appreciate that.
But he did all he could here and moved on at the right time. I don’t want him back.

im with you. Really grateful for the improvement he brought about, but when we saw Stoudt's talent utilized by coaches willing to adapt to his strengths I became convinced Chad's departure was our gain.

I really thought I was going to have to fight my way out of the upper deck that night. Tried to explain to their inebriated fans that night why we were about to dominate the series the for the next 10+ years , but they were somewhat slow and struggled to see into the future.
But it was a stupid play call because we were driving on them

You only give a nagative play from him that was not his fault he kept every defense on its heels Our rise to the top over many superior teams we played was due to his scheming and eye candy and movement You really never knew what was coming next He used the running QB to a great advantage We moved to a vertical passing game only and you see where that has us with a weak o line and inexperienced QB

No one is asking for Chad back but his scheme was a major part of our rise He can think on his feet and adjust to what he has Right now because our downfield vertical passing is not working due to soft O line inexperienced QB and defenses have done a check mate on us we don’t seems to be running any of those plays
