GeeVille posted one below. My good friend had a son graduated a couple years back. Played the drumline. I support you and ALL the Tiger band members and staff. We stand United.
This tradition should never disappear. Will let Neff as well as former Gov/Ambassador Haley my thoughts. Thanks for posting.

We will rock you is a great add IMO..............honestly it's actually a buzzkill when the band actually does start playing before they run down the hill
but that's just me.

I think its a great add too. But not at the expense of Tiger Band.
Hear me out, I think you can have BOTH.
Keep Tiger Band playing Sock it to Em like always and then have We Will Rock You AFTER the team comes down the hill.
Problem Solved.
Playing it before the team runs down the hill is dumb and we should not stand for it.

Cannot believe they’re wanting to take away a Clemson classic like Sock it to Em.
I agree with working in BOTH songs!

To explain, Orange Bowl March is often played as an intro into Tiger Rag. Orange Bowl March is rarely played by itself and usually precedes Tiger Rag for instances like right before the team runs down the hill. When those two songs are paired, its called Sock It To 'Em Tiger Rag, or just Sock It To Em.

It is most definitely better the way it was this past weekend. Team hears us screaming we will rock you from the top of the hill, and the opposition hears it waiting to run out. The band playing before is honestly a vibe kill.

They play that song ENOUGH during the game as it is. I wouldn’t mind if they changed it. When the band started up after “We will rock you” it most definitely was a buzzkill. Time to spice things up.
I think we need to put the band in the corner of the WEZ and stop mic’ing them up and playing them over the speakers. Just my .02
Playing “The Batman” tune on 3rd down is pretty cool though… even if it is only 2 notes ??

The video board and sound system as used are a distraction to the game and fans cheering the team on. In my opinion the music, including the band, should stop once the opposing team huddles so the fans can cheer. Many fans are sitting and being entertained like they are watching and listening to TV at home. La Tec was not bothered by fan noise. By time the stadium music and band quit playing it was too late to get sustained cheering going.

To me, it was always a part of Tiger Rag - kind of a preface. It just flows really well into Tiger Rag. Maybe shorten the canned intro song so they can keep Sock It To 'Em.
I like that suggestion in another post about using Eye of the Tiger for the pregame and having the band play along with it, then they could fade out the canned version, leaving just Tiger Band playing, and they can segue into Sock It To 'Em and then Tiger Rag.

I just don't see the "we will rock you" being very good for day games. Seems to me we play we will rock you for might games before sock it to em and for day games just ditch the we will rock you stuff

Tradition of the hill is all but done. Play sock it to em during pregame and halftime. Leave we will rock you and tiger rag for hill run. At least there was some energy Saturday night!

WWRY while the buses pull around, with shots of the buses on the video, prior to gathering at the Rock and the Hill run and the Band playing was pretty stout. That space in time is mostly a lull otherwise. Thought it was a great way to crank up the fan engagement and crowd noise prior to the intro and the cannon, and all else stayed the same from there. I dug it.
